The Third AIEAA Conference will start at 9.00 AM on Thursday, June 26th, 2014 and will end by 1.00 PM on Friday June 27th, 2014.

Topic
Environment, energy, health, food safety and food security are among the most important nowadays issues linked with the challenge of a sustainable development of the so called bio-economy. Agriculture is a core sector of the bio-economy but the latter includes other important industries producing and/or exploiting natural resources, such as forestry, marine activities or several bio-based manufacturing industries. The challenge of a sustainable development of the overall bio-economy claims for a careful analysis of the interdependencies between the bio-based industries as well as of their relationships with natural resources. There is also the need to improve the knowledge about the generation, diffusion and impact of innovation patterns consistent with asustainable development of the bio-economy. Finally, it is crucial to develop analytical frameworks aiming at improving the design of appropriate policies to overcome potential market failures in the bio-economy and to assess their impact from a global perspective. Economic and policy issues dealing with climate change, land use for energy purposes, research and innovations in the bio-economy, technology options for developed and developing countries, the sustainable use of natural resources are the main themes of the first Conference of the AIEAA. AIEAA welcomes the submission of contributions on the topics above. However, the submission of contributions on all agricultural and applied economics topics is encouraged as well.

Regular member: 130 Euro (80 € if already member in 2014)
Reduced member (Ph.D. students; Postdoc): 50 Euro (30 € if already member in 2014)
